Seva — The Heart of Our Mission, The Path to Divine Grace

At the Gau Sewa Mission& Ashram, Seva is the foundation of everything we do. It is not just physical service — it is a sacred offering to Bhagwan, an expression of gratitude, and a pathway to inner purity. Maharaj Ji teaches that true seva must come from the heart, without

ego, expectation, or recognition. When seva is performed with devotion, even the smallest act generates blessings, peace, and divine protection.

Our organisation provides many ways for people from all backgrounds to contribute. Whether you live in India or abroad, whether you can give time, resources, skills, or prayers — there is a place for you in this divine mission.

Get Involved — Everyone Can Serve

You do not need spiritual knowledge, experience, or special qualifications to serve. All you need is a pure intention and a desire to help. Individuals, families, children, youth groups, schools, NRIs, and seniors regularly join us in seva activities.

Ways to get involved include:

  • Visiting the gaushala to feed cows
  • Helping with cleaning and maintenance
  • Distributing fodder
  • Assisting during festivals and events
  • Sharing our mission with others
  • Organising charity drives
  • Supporting online seva programs
  • Helping at Ram Dhun or Hanuman Chalisa programs

Every seva, however small, becomes a lamp lit in honour of Gau Mata and Bhagwan.

Daily Seva — A Routine of Purity & Compassion

Daily seva begins at sunrise and continues until night. Volunteers participate in:

  • Cleaning cowsheds
  • Filling water troughs
  • Cutting and distributing fodder
  • Bathing and grooming cows
  • Assisting veterinarians
  • Supporting elderly or weak cows
  • Performing Gau Pooja
  • Maintaining cleanliness and order

Being in the presence of cows brings peace, dissolves stress, and fills the heart with unconditional love. Many devotees describe daily seva as a life-transforming experience.

Adopt / Sponsor a Cow — Become a Lifelong Guardian

Not everyone can physically visit the gaushala daily, but everyone can still support a cow. Through our Cow Sponsorship Program, you can adopt a cow for a month or year and support her:

  • Food
  • Medical care
  • Shelter maintenance
  • Special-needs support

As a sponsor, you receive:

  • A photo of your cow
  • Her name and details
  • Updates on her health and well-being
  • Blessings and prayers offered in your name

This is one of the most powerful forms of seva. Maharaj Ji says: “When you support a cow, your home becomes blessed.”

Special Day Seva — Celebrate with Purpose

Devotees celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, festivals, and memorial days by offering seva at the gaushala. Feeding cows on special occasions brings divine blessings, positivity in the home, and protection from difficulties.

You may sponsor:

  • Green fodder
  • Dry fodder
  • Medical camps
  • Sweet treats for cows (gur, fruits, etc.)
  • Special Gau Pooja

This turns personal celebrations into acts of dharmic value and spiritual merit.

Volunteer Registration — Join the Family

We encourage anyone wishing to serve regularly to register as a volunteer. Registered volunteers receive:

  • Updates on seva schedules
  • Invitations to festivals
  • Opportunities to assist in programs
  • A deeper connection with Maharaj Ji’s mission

Whether you join once, weekly, or monthly — your presence matters.
